The early childhood admissions procedure at Silver Bow Montessori School is a two-way process. It is designed to give parents an opportunity to learn about the school, its philosophy, and policies. It allows parents and personnel of the school opportunities to meet. It also gives Silver Bow Montessori School an opportunity to confer with parents about whether the school is able to benefit the child and meet the needs and expectations of the parents. Education of young children is a partnership between the school and parents. Our goal is to enroll families who will both benefit from and contribute to the school.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in Silver Bow Montessori School:
1. Schedule a classroom observation at the school. Please call the school office at (406) 494-1033 to make an appointment. You can call and discuss any questions or concerns with the Director or Head Teachers at any time. You will be provided with a brief application form after the observation.
2. Complete the application form and return it to Silver Bow Montessori School ("SBM").
3. SBM reviews the application form and determines whether space is available in the EC classroom. If a commitment for a space (either in the current or coming year’s classroom) is not immediately available, SBM will place prospective students on a waiting list in the order application forms are received.
4. When the applicant is enrolled, the Director sends an enrollment agreement (covering financial policies and procedures) to the parents. A student is formally admitted when the signed enrollment agreement and specified fees are received by SBM by the specified date.
6. All children are enrolled on a twelve-week trial basis to determine compatibility with the program.
7. Silver Bow Montessori School is nondiscriminatory in its enrollment practices.
